Day 3 of Nielsen Audio’s PPM releases are now available for Portland, Charlotte, San Antonio, Sacramento, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Orlando, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Kansas City, and Columbus.

- Public News/Talk 91.5 KOPB-FM keeps a dominating lead in Portland with its 9.3 to 9.1 move keeping it well ahead of iHeartMedia AC “K103” KKCW despite its 5.9 to 6.7 gain.
- iHeartMedia Classic Rock “99.7 The Fox” WRFX Charlotte expands its lead as WRFX moves 8.4 to 8.0, but Beasley Media Country 103.7 WSOC drops 8.1 to 7.3. iHeart Country “96.9 The Kat” WKKT follows in third with a 6.4.
- Big gains in Charlotte were made by Beasley AC “K104.7” WKQC (4.9 to 6.0) and iHeartMedia CHR “Hits 96.1” WHQC (3.7 to 4.7).
- The lead narrows in San Antonio with Cox Media Group Classic Hits 101.1 KONO-FM falling 8.4 to 6.9, while iHeartMedia News/Talk 1200 WOAI slides 7.1 to 6.5. Cox Media Country “Y100” KCYY places third with a 4.7 to 5.2 rise.
- iHeartMedia News/Talk 1530 KFBK/93.1 KFBK-FM holds onto a narrow lead in Sacramento as it slides 9.4 to 8.9, while Entercom Classic Rock “Eagle 96.9” KSEG moves 8.9 to 8.8.
- iHeartMedia Classic Hip Hop “V101” KHYL Sacramento trends 2.9 – 3.5 – 4.0, while Bonneville Hot AC “Now 100.5” KZZO trends up 1.8 – 2.9 – 3.5.
- iHeartMedia’s duo of Classic Rock 102.5 WDVE (8.5 – 10.9) and Classic Hits “94.5 3WS” WWSW (8.1 – 9.2) both remain on top of Pittsburgh with sizable growth of share. The numbers weren’t as rosy for Entercom’s spoken word combo of News/Talk 1020 KDKA (6.5 – 5.1) and Sports “93.7 The Fan” KDKA-FM (6.3 – 4.5).
- Bonneville Classic Rock “103.5 The Arrow” KRSP Salt Lake City (8.1 to 7.7) holds an over 1 share point lead over iHeartMedia Classic Hits 94.9 KODJ (5.9 to 6.6).
- In the last monthly before Cox Media Group’s Orlando format shuffle, the company held three of the top six spots in the market. Entercom Classic Hits “105.9 Sunny-FM” WOCL surged 7.4 to 9.3 to expand its lead over iHeartMedia Tropical “Rumba 100.3” WRUM’s 6.2 to 6.7 gain. Cox Classic Rock 98.9 WMMO fell into a third place tie with a 7.5 to 6.5 slide to tie it with rising sister Country “K92.3” WWKA (5.8 to 6.5). While iHeartMedia AC “Magic 107.7” WMGF rose 4.8 to 6.0, Cox Adult R&B “Star 94.5” WCFB has trended downward 8.9 – 6.5 – 5.9.
- In its final monthly News/Talk 96.5 WDBO-FM held steady at a 3.8, Sports “ESPN 580” WDBO went out with a 0.6, and Spanish AC “107.3 Solo Exitos” had a 0.5 share.
- Beasley Media Classic Hits 96.3 KKLZ jumps 6.4 to 7.9 to retake the Las Vegas market lead. iHeartMedia AC “Sunny 106.5” KSNE slides 7.3 to 6.1 to fall to second. SOS Radio Christian AC 90.5 KSOS rises to third with a 4.5 to 5.0 gain.
- Cumulus Media Classic Hits 103.5 WGRR Cincinnati moves 9.2 to 10.1 to move ahead of iHeartMedia News/Talk 700 WLW as they slide 10.3 to 9.4.
- Hubbard’s combo of Country “B105.1” WUBE (6.7 – 7.3 – 7.8) and CHR “Q102” WKRQ (4.0 – 4.6 – 5.8) are both trending upwards as is Cumulus AC “Warm 98” WRRM (4.4 – 5.2 5.7) and Classic Rock “92.5 The Fox” WOFX (4.2 – 4.6 – 5.2).
- Ratings expert Chris Huff notes that Entercom Classic Rock 98.5 WNCX Cleveland has set a new station record for the third consecutive month as it rises 10.2 to 11.0 to lead the market ahead of Radio One Adult R&B 93.1 WZAK which is trending (7.3 – 8.1 – 9.0). iHeartMedia’s trio of Country 99.5 WGAR (down 9.9 to 8.5), Classic Hits “Majic 105.7” WMJI (up 7.5 to 8.2) and News/Talk 1100 WTAM (down 7.7 to 7.1) follow.
- Cumulus Media’s combo of Classic Rock “101 The Fox” KCFX and Classic Hits 94.9 KCMO-FM tie atop Kansas City with 8.2 shares respectively. Cumulus’ Rock/Alternative “105.1 The X” KCJK has the most notable growth with a 1.4 – 2.2 – 3.5 trend.
