One week into the truncated 2020 MLB season, the Oakland Athletics are changing their radio lineup.
The Athletics have announced that the remainder of the franchise’s 2020 season will air on iHeartMedia’s “Bloomberg 960” KNEW/103.7 KOSF-HD2 San Francisco with the “A’s Cast” programming moving to the iHeartRadio app.
TuneIn’s page features a statement, “Unfortunately, A’s Cast is no longer available on TuneIn. If you are looking to listen to Oakland Athletics baseball and are located in the Bay Area, please visit athletics.com/ascast“.
The A’s announced in February that they intended to forgo a local over-the-air English language radio affiliate this season and partnered with TuneIn to launch a platform where their games would be streamed in Northern California and the rest of their programming would be available nationally on the team branded channel. The team’s games have and will be continue to be heard on eleven additional stations in Northern California including Bonneville’s 1140 KHTK Sacramento.
We're happy to announce that we will broadcast 54 games on BLOOMBERG® 960 AM during the 2020 season starting tomorrow, Friday, July 31! A's games can now be heard on 960 AM and KOSF-HD2 FM 103.7. #RootedInOakland pic.twitter.com/VBPzIoLn1d
