FCC Actions
The FCC has granted Media Institute for Social Change’s application for review and has dismissed Bustos Media’s CP for 99.9 K260DK Portland OR.
In its decision, the FCC states in its previous decision to dismiss the interference complaints of MISC’s 99.9 KXRW-LP Vancouver WA it erred in concluding that MISC failed to show that the translator would interfere with the reception of KXRW-LP. Bustos had argued LPFM’s were not required to be protected and that the application for review had been procedurally defective because it was not filed by an attorney. KXRW-LP had supplied a list of declarations from ten listeners who lived in what would’ve been K260DK’s contour to show interference.
K260DK was to rebroadcast Brokered Russian 1010 KOOR Milwaukie OR.
The FCC continues to reach consent decrees with operators over missing documents from their online political files. Each of the groups have agreed to admission of liability and compliance plans:

- Lanser Broadcasting Corporation licensee of WJKQ and WPNW Zeeland MI
- Jackson County Broadcasting, Inc. licensee of WKOV-FM Oak Hill and WYPC Wellston OH
