The Cleveland Browns will have three new flagship stations in its home city.
Good Karma Broadcasting’s “ESPN Cleveland” 850 WKNR and CBS’ combo of “92.3 The Fan” WKRK and Classic Rock 98.5 WNCX will all share gameday broadcasts of the Browns starting with the 2013 season.
Other portions of the broadcasts will be split between the stations. WKNR will exclusively broadcast a four hour pre-game show before all games, while WKRK will be the home of a two hour long post-game show. WKNR will extend its Cleveland Browns Daily program hosted by Vic Carucci from one to two hours. A weekly show with Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski will air simultaneously on WKNR and WKRK. CBS will add an all-Browns HD Radio subchannel on WKRK-HD3.
The trio of stations replace Clear Channel’s combo of News/Talk 1100 WTAM and Rock 100.7 WMMS which have served as the Browns flagships since the team’s relaunch in 1999. Play-by-play man Jim Donovan, analyst Doug Dieken, and sideline reporter Jamir Howerton will all remain in their current roles with the station changes.
