Following its sales of its Lima, OH and Santa Rosa, CA clusters earlier this month, Maverick Media concludes its exit from the radio industry with the announced sale of its Eau Claire, WI and Rockford, IL stations to Midwest Family Broadcasting.
The $15.5 Million purchase includes a total of ten stations and a translator. Midwest Family will begin operating the stations via LMA on May 1. In addition to the newly acquired clusters, Midwest Family Broadcasting operates stations in La Crosse WI, Madison WI, Springfield IL, Springfield MO and St. Joseph/Benton Harbor, MI.
The stations included in the sale are: News/Talk 790 WAYY, Sports “ESPN 1150” WEAQ, Rock “92.9 The Big Cheese” WECL, Hot AC “I94” WIAL, Variety Hits “99.9 Bob-FM” WDRK, and Country 104.5 WAXX in the Eau Claire market and Comedy “Funny 1330” WNTA, Variety Hits “95.3 Bob-FM” WRTB, News/Talk “100.5 NTA-FM” W263BJ, AC “B103” 103.1 WGFB, and Rock “X104.9” WXRX in Rockford.
