A pair of reports indicate that Universal Media Access has given 30 days notice to the brokered programming the company currently airs on “U92.3” KSJO San Jose.
NewsForChinese.com reports that all program providers on the station were e-mailed a 30 day termination notice on April 28, while Rich Lieberman adds that station has been sold to an unknown bidder.
KSJO currently airs programming in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Greek languages along with Alternative Rock programming. Universal Media Access acquired KSJO from Clear Channel’s Aloha Stations Trust for $9.25 Million in early 2011. At first running a mostly Chinese format as “China 92.3“, KSJO merged in programming from other languages when sister 104.9 KCNL Sunnyvale was sold in May 2012 for $7.5 Million. Universal Media Access also owns 1170 KLOK San Jose.
Again? Wonder who the buyer is this time
