Last weekend, I didn’t post this aircheck, I would like to present to you for the first ever is an aircheck of this week’s “Rock, Roll & Remember” with Dick Clark, but this one is a repeat from 2001. About 2 weeks ago, for those of you who haven’t heard that TV legend Dick Clark has died at the age of 82, he was the host of “American Bandstand” for many years where he introduced those great acts like Chubby Checker, Bobby Rydell and many others who came to that show. After that, he was doing game shows including the “$10,000″, “$20,000″, “$25,000″ and “$100,000 Pyramid” for all these years as well as a number of game shows such as “The Challengers” and “Scattergories”. He was hosting his “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” show as shown on ABC every New Year’s Eve where he counts down to the New Year where the ball drops in Time Square every year for almost 40 years. He also hosted a weekly radio show called “Rock, Roll & Remember” and it can be heard in many oldies stations across the country right up until he left the show around 2003 or 2004 when he had a stroke. His legacy will live on forever.

And speaking, I will be posting it here, because in tribute to his passing, I would like to share with you. This show was heard on WGNY’s “Fox Oldies” every Sunday afternoon at 2 PM until 6:30 PM replacing Dick Bartley and his “Classic Countdown” show, because the show that played mostly 80′s songs didn’t fit on an oldies station, so “Fox Oldies” decided to change it, and it worked. Don’t fret, the “Classic Countdown” show with Dick Bartley will still be heard on CBS-FM every Sunday night. In the meantime, here is the entire 4 and a half hour show of Dick Clark’s “Rock, Roll & Remember” show on “Fox Oldies”. About two weeks ago, I started recording the show in memory of Dick Clark, but the stream cuts off for the first 17 minutes, but I decided to scrap the first one, but I ended up recording it a week later. Enjoy!
