For the past few years, Philly had all-Christmas formats before the last week of October on at least two HD2′s (101.1-HD2 and 97.5-HD2, IIRC). I wonder why they would just suddenly not be interested in it this year? And before anyone says “because no one has HD2 radios,” let me say you’re obviously wrong so shut the hell up with that mess…and the people who do have HD2 radios and are used to having all-Christmas by now are definitely noticing it. It’s just weird. |

I was wondering the same thing, in fact BEN’s HD-2 was all Christmas the last few years around the middle of October. I wrote to the B a few weeks ago and here is the reply but I never received a definite answer about their HD-2, it seems the Philly market is not interested in putting Christmas music on their HD-2′s which is sad. > From: DaveM@101-fm.com > > > Hi I really enjoy the 80′s on your HD-2, but when is the Christmas music going to start, LOL, I know its a bit early but if I remember correctly the last few seasons you started it early in October on your HD-2, hope it starts soon. |

Well, B101 dressed their website up for Christmas effective today and they have the familiar banner to launch their streaming Christmas music…but player never actually connects and starts playing. They usually do his around the same time they flip the HD2. I’m no where hear a radio right now so I have no idea whether they’ve actually gone and done it. I can tell from tunein.com that WOGL-HD2, WPEN-HD2, and WBEN-HD2 are still in their usual formats. |

Just tried it and its working fine, still nothing on any HD-2′s, this has to be the first year no HD sides have gone Christmas. I remember two years ago we had 101.1/95.7 and 97.5 HD’s all Christmas in October. If anyone cares Sirius/XM’s schedule is as follows: Holly Nov 13(17), Traditions Nov 13(4), Pops Dec 4(75), Country Christmas Dec 4(58), Hanukkah Dec 8(69), Soul Dec 14(49). |
