On Monday, April 30th at the stroke of midnight (CST), WLFM-LP ended its Smooth AC format and shifted to a simulcast of new sister station FM News 101.1 WIQI. The station, which is slated to launch a new Alternative Rock format branded as Q87.7 sometime soon, is being operated by Merlin Media through an LMA.
