Whitney Houston Memorial on 98.7 “Kiss-FM” – 2/18/12
Earlier this afternoon, WRKS "Kiss-FM" pays tribute to Whitney Houston with a special 4-hour show from the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ. Many of the guests from that event including her cousin Dionne Warwick, Cissy Houston, the mother of Whitney as well as R Kelly, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Kevin Costner, Clive Davis, the founder of Arista and many others are gathered to say goodbye to the legend that started with ground breaking hits from the 80's and 90's. It has some gospel music thrown in during the special memorial ceremony. The event ends with a classic song "I Will Always Love You" as the casket moved out of the church and into the cemetery where she laid to rest. This is a must have for fans who loved Whitney Houston. There was one song at the end of that aircheck was the classic "One Moment in Time", the song that it was featured as part of the 1988 Olympic Winter Games. Enjoy this aircheck from earlier today. I will be posting another one from Rewound Radio later on as it happens will be "Cousin Brucie's Yearbook" show from 2002.
