As a service to all of those who will be spending their Memorial Day Weekend in the car, lounging at the beach, or just relaxing at home we’ve compiled some podcasts worth checking out.
Deb Slater and Larry Gifford have launched the “Radio Stuff” Podcast. Gifford, the former KIRO Seattle and ESPN Radio PD, and Slater spend the first episode discussing imaging and coverage of some current issues in the news.
Margaret Larkin’s “Radio Girl Podcast” meanwhile is celebrating its 100th episode this week with an interview with Chicago legend John Records Landecker.
Speaking of Chicago legends, Steve Dahl is offering a 30 day free trial subscription to his podcast network. The trial includes access to all of Dahl’s archives, as well as shows by Kevin Matthews, James Von Osdal, Matt and Brendan, and Dino “Starburns” Stamatopoulos.
One of the largest Podcast networks, Earwolf, has brought its business of Podcasting show “The Wolf Den” back from hiatus. This week’s episode features Nerdist Industries General Manager Chris Fealey discussing the evolution of the medium, expanding their audio brands into different mediums, and lack of rivalry between the competitors.
Over at one of our sister site’s, FMAirchecks.com, they’re celebrating the holiday weekend with a look back at some stations from the late 1990’s including Kid Kelly on Z100 New York, Hot Jammin Kicks-FM in Chattanooga, the Fun 107 Atlantic City stunt format, Z104 Washington, DC, and the short lived Kiss 104.9 Cleveland.
Airchexx.com will feature a pair of new to the site airchecks of Jackson Armstrong, while FormatChange.com will be featuring as many of the newest changes as possible that take place over the holiday weekend.
