iHeartMedia Classic Hip-Hop “102.3 The Beat” W272BY/WEBN-HD3 Cincinnati will shift to Urban on Monday, March 7.
Retaining its current “Beat” identity, the move will coincide with the addition of the syndicated Breakfast Club. The new format will place W272BY in direct competition with Radio-One’s “101.1 The Wiz” WIZF.
102.3 The Beat announced today the addition of The Breakfast Club to the station’s weekday morning lineup, effective Monday, March 7. The top-rated morning show starring DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God will join WEBN HD-3 in the Monday through Friday, from 5:30-10:00 a.m. ET. In addition, 102.3 The Beat will become a Mainstream Urban/Hip Hop station, playing artists like Drake, Beyonce, The Weekend, Jerimih, Big Sean, Fetty Wap, Future and more.
