Former syndicated morning host PK, most recently of CBS CHR “Hot 95.7” KKHH Houston, and his wife Denise Kalentzis are joining iHeartMedia CHR “Power 96.1” WWPW Atlanta for mornings.
The couple will join Riley Couture, who has been hosting mornings solo on WWPW since the exit of co-host Scotty K and producer Bret Mega last month. PK himself was one of the end of 2015 talent cuts made by CBS Radio across the country.
PK and Denise both worked on the syndicated “PK’s Playhouse” based at “Jammin 95.5” KXJM Portland from 2000 to 2009. He then joined KKHH in 2010 through his layoff at the end of 2015. The couple have been co-hosting a podcast as well.
WWPW-FM (Power 96.1)/Atlanta has announced the debut of the new Power Morning Show with PK and Riley (pictured), effective immediately, airing weekday mornings from 5:30-10am. PK joins Power 96.1 from Houston and previously served as the leading and founding member of the “Playhouse” morning show in Portland. Also, joining the show is former “Playhouse” member, Denise.
“I am super excited to have PK and Denise added to the Power team. I have known PK for years and have always admired his unmatched work ethic and ability to innovate and entertain,” said iHeartMedia Atlanta Region Senior VP/Programming Brian Michel.
