Berkshire Broadcasting has completed the move of the FM signal for Classic Hits “B107.3” 850 WAXB Ridgefield CT from 107.3 W297AN Danbury to 94.5 W233CF.
The new 94.5 translator’s signal covers a wider portion of Northern Fairfield County CT. Repositioning as “More Music. More Fun”, “B94.5” continues to focus its playlist on hits of the 1970s and 80s.
The 107.3 translator will now be paired with 98.3 WDAQ-HD3 and has begun stunting with Christmas music in preparation of launching a new format on Tuesday, July 5 at 12:00pm. We have previously reported in our Premium Daily Domains that Berkshire had registered TheBull1073.com and Blazin1073.com for it.
Berkshire Broadcasting (Danbury, Connecticut) has relocated its classic hits format from 107.3 FM (W297AN) to the recently authorized 94.5FM (W233CF).
The station, previously known as “B1073 Danbury’s Classic Hits,” is continuing the “B” branding at its new dial position (“The New B945”), but has changed positioning to “More Music. More Fun!”
WAXB-AM (850 khz), licensed to Ridgefield, Connecticut, remains the originating station for “The New B945.”
With the move of the classic hits format to 94.5, Berkshire is unveiling an “All Christmas” format on 107.3 (W297AN). “It’s Christmas in July,” says B945 Program Director Rich Minor. “Santa’s elves are currently conducting market research to determine the best format option for Greater Danbury. The new 107.3 format will be coming down the chimney on Tuesday, July 5th at noon.”
WDAQ HD-3 (98.3) will originate the new format on 107.3.
Berkshire Broadcasting is the owner/operator of the following stations in the Danbury, Connecticut Nielsen market: WLAD (N/T), WDAQ (“98Q”/Hot AC), WAXB/W233CF (Classic Hits), WDAQ HD-2/W279CI (Alternative) and
WDAQ HD-3/W279AN (debuting 7/5 at noon).
