MD Broadcasting launched the first of its two new Tupelo formats on Labor Day as 102.9 WWMR Saltillo ended its stunt loop of Alan Jackson’s Gone Country and went Country as “Outlaw 102.9”
The new format is running jockless with 20,000 songs commercial free. Meanwhile sister 96.3 WXWX Marrieta continues to loop Kimberly Locke’s cover of Frosty The Snowman.

Mike Brandt’s MD Broadcasting has begun operating Flinn Broadcasting’s 96.3 WXWX Marrieta with a loop of Frosty The Snowman and 102.9 WWMR Saltillo with a loop of Alan Jackson’s Gone Country. Both stations had been operated by Telesouth Communications until the end of July as Sports “ESPN 96.3” and Talk “SuperTalk Mississippi” respectively until the end of July.
