The streaming music battle in Canada is making for strange bedfellows.
On the heels of Bell Media’s launch of iHeartRadio Canada, Apple Music has added seven of Corus Radio’s Talk stations to their platform. The stations now available are 630 CHED Edmonton, “Talk Radio 640” CFMJ Toronto, 680 CJOB Winnipeg, “News Talk 770” CHQR Calgary, “AM 900” CHML Hamilton ON, “AM 980” CFPL London ON, “News Talk 980” CKNW Vancouver. The stations are only available to Apple Music listeners in Canada.
Starting today, Corus Radio is proud to announce that seven market-leading news talk stations across Canada are available to audiences for free on Apple Music.
Listeners in over 100 countries can now stream CKNW AM 980 (Vancouver), News Talk 770 (Calgary), 630 CHED (Edmonton), 680 CJOB (Winnipeg), AM 980 (London), AM 900 CHML (Hamilton) and AM 640 (Toronto) with Apple Music on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Carplay.
Corus Radio is the first Canadian commercial radio company available on Apple Music, a revolutionary streaming service and app that gives users access to Apple’s entire music catalogue on their favourite devices. The wide group of talk radio shows will join other top international news brands including BBC, NPR, ESPN and Bloomberg.
