CRC Broadcasting is purchasing Silent 1580 KHEP Tempe and 99.9 K260CJ Nogales AZ (with application to move to 99.1 Tempe) from Jacob Barker’s Gabrielle Broadcasting for $450,000 and an LMA to start once the station commences broadcasting again. CRC also owns Business “Money Radio 1510” KFNN Mesa and two stations in Palm Springs. Gabrielle purchased KHEP (then KMIK) from Disney for $1.4 million in August 2015.
Barker’s Gabrielle Broadcasting then turns around and purchases Christian Preaching “1280 The Trumpet” KXEG Phoenix and 94.1 K231CJ Nogales (with application to move to 96.1 Phoenix) from Sewanee Phoenix License for $385,000. Barker currently serves as Station Manager for KXEG.
El Sembrador Ministries is exercising its option to purchase Silent 1040 KURS San Diego CA from Quetzal Bilingual Communications for $900,000. El Sembrador is being credited half of its Time Brokerage fees paid since July 2014 subtracting $310,000 from the money owed. KURS went silent in early October after failing to pay tower owner Multicultural Broadcasting due rent. $10,816 from the deposit paid to Quetzal will go to Multicultural to restore the station’s use of the tower.
Bruce Houston’s Metro Radio LLC acquires Classic Hits “Max 92.9” WDHC and Country “Cat Country 1010” WCST Berkeley Springs WV from Capper Broadcasting Company for $365,000.
The Original Company is acquiring Withers Broadcasting’s Country 97.3 WRUL and Oldies 1460 WROY Carmi IL and 93.7 W229AU Fairfield IL which has applied to move to 92.1 in Carmi rebroadcasting WROY for $390,000.
Beeville Investments purchases Classic Rock 107.1 KRXB Beeville TX from Texkan Communications for $75,000. Beeville Investments also owns Country “Kicker 106” 105.7 KTKO Beeville.
