Broadway Media has filed a pair of deals to swap out stations held by its Divestiture Trust for translators in the Salt Lake City/Provo region.
In the first deal, Broadway will swap SLC Divestiture Trust II’s 95.9 KMGR Delta (with a CP to move to 95.7 Gunnison) and $200,000 to Kevin Terry’s Radio Rancho for 95.9 K240EP Tooele and 104.7 K284AY Stockton. Radio Rancho will be responsible for building out all three CP’s. KMGR is currently operated via Sanpete County Broadcasting Company via LMA as Soft AC “Classy 102.7“, utlizing the frequency of one of its translators. However, Broadway is relocating that translator to 94.5 Provo to rebroadcast “ESPN 960” KOVO Provo.
To potentially rectify that for KMGR, Sanpete County Broadcasting Company is acquiring SLC Divestiture Trust II’s 99.1 KUDE Nephi (which just completed its move from 103.9) in exchange for 103.9 K280GJ Moroni (which concurrently replaced KUDE on 103.9 in the Provo area). K280GJ is filling KUDE’s previous purpose as a Provo area simulcast for Adult CHR “Mix 105.1” KUDD American Fork/Salt Lake City. KUDE has also applied to upgrade from a Class A to C1 with 100kW/297m. It had been licensed as a Class C until its recent CP to complete its move to 99.1 under its deadline to do so.
Following these divestitures Broadway Media’s SLC Divestiture Trust’s will still hold 105.3 KDWY Diamondville WY (with CP to move to 105.5 Oakley UT) and 107.1 KEGH Woodruff UT, although a 2015 sale of that station to Asaaa Media is still pending.
