When Clear Channel AC “Star 105.7” WSRW-FM Grand Rapids, MI changed its calls from WOOD-FM last month expectations immediately arose that the move was to pave the way for sister Talk 1300 WOOD to add an FM simulcast. That move became official today as Clear Channel made clear its plans to shift the programming at a few of its outlets in the Muskegon and Grand Rapids markets.
Country “107 MUS” WMUS Muskegon will relocate from 106.9 to 107.9 next week displacing AC “Star 108” WSHZ. After simulcasting for a few weeks, 106.9 will become Talk WOOD-FM simulcasting 1300 in Grand Rapids in early January.
WMUS will retain its focus on the Muskegon area at 107.9. The 106.9 signal is more regional-based as it covers a majority of the Grand Rapids metro in addition to Muskegon.
