The Champ Leads Burlington, VT Sports Shuffle

Champ 101.3 WCPV Essex Burlington Plattsburgh 1390 WCAT 1490 WFAD 1420 WRSA ESPN Radio Fox Sports

Vox Radio Group’s “Champ 101.3” WCPV Essex, VT will trigger sports radio shuffle in the Burlington, VT/Plattsburgh, NY market on New Years Day as the station will flip from Rock to Sports. The new station will feature ESPN Radio programming outside of a local afternoon show hosted by Rob Ryan and current Champ morning host Rich Haskell. Haskell’s morning co-host Mary Cenci will replace Ryan in afternoons at sister AC “Star 92.9” WEZF. WCPV is the flagship for University of Vermont Basketball and will gain New England Patriots football and Vermont Lake Monsters minor league baseball from sister Talk “The Zone 960” WEAV.

The current ESPN Radio affiliates in the market, the trimulcast of 1390 WCAT Burlington, 1420 WRSA St. Albans, and 1490 WFAD Middlebury will shift to Fox Sports Radio.

  1. Seems like the Burlington market doesn’t leave much alone, and that’s not a new situation…have seen so many changes at 92.1, 93.7, 96.7, 102.3 and now 101.3…
I can remember when we used to be able to know what to expect when we tuned in to most places on the Burlington dial.
