The Baltimore Orioles have agreed to a three year deal with Hearst News/Talk 1090 WBAL to move their play-by-play broadcasts back to the station. The Orioles had been on CBS Sports “105.7 The Fan” WJZ-FM the past four years.
The Orioles have spent the majority of its history on WBAL, its flagship station for 41 of its 57 years in Baltimore. This gives WBAL rights to both Baltimore sports franchises as it is also the flagship for the NFL Baltimore Ravens along with sister “98 Rock” WIYY.
The move also ends the partnership between 105.7 The Fan and the MASN regional sports network. MASN, co-owned by the Orioles and Washington Nationals has dropped its simulcast of The Scott Garceau Show, which aired in afternoon drive on 105.7 and MASN. The program will continue on without the television simulcast.
