7/4: Sports “Fox 1370” WVIE Baltimore, MD picks up Talk Radio Network’s “America’s Radio News” programming for 6am to 6pm. Fox Sports Radio will continue to air from 6pm to 6am and weekends for now.
7/1: Adult Hits “101.5 The Point” WPOI Tampa, FL shifted to CHR “Hot 101.5” directly targeting Clear Channel’s 93.3 WFLZ.
7/1: After a few days of stunting, 94.3 WWNQ Columbia, SC returns to the Classic Country “Country Legends 94.3” branding it used from 2004-2008.
7/1: 90.9 WHYY-FM Philadelphia began programming the five Southern New Jersey stations on July 1 via LMA. 88.1 WNJS-FM Berlin, 89.3 WNJB-FM Bridgeton, 89.7 WNJN-FM Atlantic City, 89.9 WNJM Manahawkin, and 90.3 WNJZ Cape May Court House are all now full simulcasts of WHYY-FM. New York Public Radio has taken over the four Northern New Jersey stations, 88.1 WNJT-FM Trenton, 88.5 WNJP Sussex, 89.3 WNJY Netcong, and 90.3 WNJO Toms River, which retain much of the old NJN schedule for now as “New Jersey Public Radio”.
7/1: Univision shuffled the programming on its Chicago FM’s. Spanish CHR “La Kalle” moved from 106.7 WPPN to the simulcast of 103.1 WVIV and 93.5 WVIX displacing Spanish Oldies “Recuerdo“. WPPN regained the “Pasion” Spanish AC format it had in 2004 and 2005.
7/1: Classic Rock “Bad Dog 105” WGFG Orangeburg, SC became “Cat Country 105.3“.
7/1: 107.5 KXMG New Orleans, LA flipped to Spanish CHR “Mega 107.5“. Its previous Houma targeted Country format and KCIL calls remained on 96.7 in Morgan City, LA.
6/30: Also in New Orleans, Clear Channel’s Classic Rock “104.1 The Brew” KOBW Houma shifted to Gen X Hits “VooDoo 104“. This is the station’s seventh format in the past decade.
6/30: It wasn’t for the July 4 holiday, but in preparation of the July 1 Canada Day Astral AC “EZ Rock 99.7” CJOT Ottawa, ON flipped to Classic Hits “Boom 99.7”.
6/30: Jelli, the listener controlled programming service took over a pair of Las Vegas rimshots via LMA. Dance “Vibe 94.5” KVBE flipped to listener controlled Rock music as KXLI. New sign-on 96.7 KHIJ became listener controlled Dance KYLI. The former Vibe 94.5 programming moved to online broadcasts and 12am to 4am on Hot AC “99.7 The Highway” Mountain Pass, CA.
6/30: 103.1 K276EL San Marcos, TX begins simulcasting Sports “1300 The Zone” KVET Austin, TX.
6/30: Cumulus CHR “I94” WRWM Indianapolis has shifted to Hot AC keeping the same branding.
