Cumulus has extended its new “Great Country” brand to Northeastern Pennsylvania as Country “JR 93.7” WSJR Wilkes-Barre rebrands as “Great Country 93.7“.
The station revamped at 9:37 this morning into the usual 10,000 songs in a row. The station joins WNNF Cincinnati and W273AR Kalamazoo with the branding and a potential station on 104.9 on the way.
The 1450 watt Class A licensed to Dallas, PA will continue to compete with Entercom’s market leading “Froggy 101” WGGY Scranton. In the Fall 2011 ratings, WGGY led with a 9.5 share to WSJR’s 2.0.
