Update 3/2: Concurrent with the move of Sports programming to 100.3, CHR “I100” will shift to 93.9 WJXY and 93.7 WXJY as “Z93.9“. The station’s Facebook page indicates the station will pick up Elvis Duran for mornings and Billy Bush at night. Kosmo, who had been hosting afternoons on I100 is returning to Qantum’s “Mix 97.7” WWXM for the same shift.
Original Report 2/28: Cumulus is shuffling the programming at a trio of its Myrtle Beach, SC stations on Monday, March 5.
Sports “ESPN 93.9 The Team” WJXY-FM Conway will in effect split into two. ESPN Radio programming will move to 100.3 WSEA Atlantic Beach displacing CHR “I100“. Moving to “ESPN 100.3” will be the bulk of The Team’s lineup including ESPN’s Mike & Mike, Colin Cowherd, local afternoon host Aaron Marks, and play-by-play of Coastal Carolina University and the Carolina Panthers. The station will add ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt from 1-4pm and a second local show from 6 to 8pm.
1050 WHSC Conway will become “Fox Sports 1050” running the national Fox Sports feed. 1050 will also carry the broadcasts of the minor league Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball. The moves give Dan Patrick who was airing on tape delay from 1 to 4pm on 93.9 a live clearance on 1050.
93.9 WJXY and 93.7 WXJY Georgetown, SC were among the stations Cumulus was required spinoff as part of its merger with Citadel. WXJY has been simulcasting 100.3 WSEA. No word yet on the status of these stations as of March 5.
