The former “104.7 The Oasis” W284BQ Detroit has been donated by Radio Power Inc. to Family Life Broadcasting.
Family Life will use the translator to rebroadcast 1030 WUFL Sterling Heights, an AM daytimer that carries Family Life’s Christian preaching. While it has not been done yet, the FCC application for the donation indicates Family Life will apply to move the translator to the 1030 tower to operate with 250 watts.
W284BQ has been silent since last October, when it was forced off the air due to interference complaints by Clear Channel’s WIOT Toledo. The application to move to WUFL’s tower site will move the translator further away from Toledo.
