CBS Radio has officially announced the debut of CHR “923 Now” will take place Wednesday March 11 at 5:00pm. The press release follows.
New York area listeners and Top 40 music fans everywhere will have more choice to hear their favorite contemporary hit songs when “92.3 NOW FM” launches on Wednesday, March 11 (5:00PM). Kanye West, Beyonce, Pink, Flo-Rida, Akon, Katy Perry, and Justin Timberlake will be among the core artists featured on the experiential CBS RADIO station when it debuts on-air, online (www.923now.com), and on a variety of mobile devices.
More than just an over-the-air radio station, 92.3 NOW will also be a digital and mobile destination where audience members and fans alike can stay socially connected through a variety of applications, interactive features and networking opportunities.

The New York centric 92.3 NOW FM website will be home to extensive entertainment news and artist coverage, including audio and video blogs created by the station’s network of bloggers – outside contributors from the area; music videos; fan forums and access to exclusive programs and events. Audience members can also follow what’s happening at 92.3 NOW FM via Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter, as well as interact with the station through text messaging, concerts, and live events.
Online listening is available through CBS RADIO’s award winning streaming media player complete with the capability to rate, share and purchase songs/albums/ringtones; link to additional web content, station presets, and listening history; as well as toggle between more than 400 additional CBS RADIO, AOL Radio or Yahoo! Launchcast stations.
92.3 NOW joins a growing list of stations CBS RADIO has launched targeted to a younger demographic (Adults 18-34). On Friday, February 20, AMP Radio debuted in Los Angeles. Prior to that the Company premiered Hot 95.7 in Houston, 101.5 Jamz in Phoenix and returned B94 to the Pittsburgh airwaves.
