Longtime Boise personality “Big” Jack Armstrong has acquired Country/Talk “1380 The Bull” KSRV Ontario, OR/Boise from Impact Radio Group and will flip the station to Oldies.
Armstrong will begin an LMA of the station on February 1 and debut “Oldies 1380” on February 15 at 3pm. The Argus-Observer states that the launch will be timed to coincide with the 39th anniversary of Armstrong’s radio career. The new format will compete directly with “Kool Oldies 99.5” KKOO where Armstrong worked until early 2012.
After the sale of 1380 closes, Impact Radio Group will continue to own Sports “ESPN 730” KINF, Classic Country “Hank 1240” KMHI, Variety Hits “96.1 Bob-FM” KSRV-FM, News/Talk 99.1 KINF-FM, Regional Mexican “La Poderosa 100.7” KPDA-FM, and Rhythmic CHR “Wild 101.1” KWYD in the Boise market.
