Vanguard Media has completed the upgrade of its Albuquerque translator giving its Classic Hits station improved coverage and a new FM frequency.
The former “Kool 107.5” K298BK Sandia has moved to 94.5 as K233CG with an upgrade from 99 to 250 watts. The translator is fed from 1550 KRKE Albuquerque.
With the move and signal upgrade, the new “Kool 94.5” has tweaked its programming from Oldies to focus on music from the 1970’s and 80’s. The move places the station closer musically to American General Media’s “Big 98.5” KABG Los Alamos which rimshots Albuquerque from the north.
