WPA Radio Classic Country “King Country 97.3” KKNG Oklahoma City has flipped to Catholic programming.
The station is now running programming fed by Oklahoma Catholic Broadcasting, which had been heard part-time on WPA’s “Community Talk 890/94.1” KTLR/K231BH. The network is also heard on a network of non-commercial stations and translators throughout the state including 88.1 KIOP Prague, 88.3 KOEG Walters, 94.1 K235BK Tulsa, and 105.7 K289BK Bristow.
Interesting — is this a move that had been anticipated?
We first heard about it this morning.
So does anyone know if the Sunday morning gospel show will continue??? And will red stegall still have his cowboy corner on???
Everything previously on KKNG is gone. Its 24/7 Catholic programming.
I think they should bring classic country to 105.3, KINB, that is a wasted signal.
I wonder if we will see a classic country format emerge on Radio Disney 1560 AM KEBC?
