Original Report 4/4: Clear Channel is preparing to move Classic Hits “Big 107.5” WBBI Endwell/Binghamton, NY to a new dial position.
As first reported by Northeast Radio Watch, WBBI has begun telling listeners that the “Big” format will be moving to 96.9. That little translator W221AX Endwell is not yet on the air. It received a Construction Permit in March to relocate from 92.1 to 96.9 with a change in transmitter location and upgrade from 8 watts at 70 meters to 65 watts at 155 meters. The translator is currently licensed to rebroadcast Sports “1430 The Team” WENE, but no word yet if that will change when it signs on the air.
Clear Channel has yet to disclose plans for the 107.5 frequency nor have there been any recent domain registrations for the station.
