Update 7/22: After having its original June 3 debut delayed, WMYT debuted its new “My Talker 106.7” programming this morning.
The station has also received a CP to downgrade its signal from 5.6kW at 104 meters to 1.8kW at 100 meters. Once built, the station will no longer place a city-grade signal over Wilmington itself.
Original Report 5/20: After moving their Christian Talk programming off of 106.7 WMYT Carolina Beach/Wilmington, NC last November, the station will return with Conservative Talk on Monday, June 3.
The station, to be branded as “My Talker“, will be run by former WAAV host Curtis Wright. Wright will also host mornings from 6-9am. The remainder of the station’s launch lineup will include Glenn Beck from 9am-12pm, Laura Ingraham from 12-3pm, Sean Hannity from 3-6pm, Paid Programming from 6-9pm, Andrea Tantaros from 9pm-12am, and Coast to Coast with George Noory overnights.
After departing WAAV in September, Wright has been hosting his show online at TalkMedia.TV. WMYT will attempt to fill the void left by the flip of 93.7 WNTB/106.3 WLTT from Talk to News in April.
