As it continues to go through the backlog of the 2003 translator applications, the FCC has set a two month period for those translators in the non-reserved commercial band for mutually exclusive applications to come to settlement agreements or resolve their overlap technically. The translators have until July 22 to come to an agreement.
The period will allow non-commercial translators applicants to change their status to commercial and allow the mutually-exclusive applications to then go to auction. Any non-commerical application that remains mutually exclusive will be dismissed. This comes after the dismissal of ten applications yesterday.
The list of translator applications affected is available here.
