Following the completion of this afternoon’s Minnesota Vikings game, Midwest Communications flipped Conservative Talk “101.9 Talk-FM” KRWK Fargo to Rock “Rock 102“.
The station is launching with 2000 songs in a row commercial free.
KRWK previously possessed a Rock format from 2002 until March 2012, first as “101.9 The Box” KKBX and then as “Rock 102” under the KRWK calls. The move places the station back in competition with Radio FM Media’s KQWB, which moved from 98.7 to 105.1 in August.
KRWK registered a 1.7 share in the Spring 2013 Arbitron ratings despite being the Fargo affiliate for both Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Sister News/Talk 790 KFGO led the market with a 15.5 share with its all local lineup.
