After stunting all weekend with a ticking clock between songs, Clear Channel Country 107.9 WYYD Amherst, VA/Roanoke has shifted in a younger direction.
Now branded as “New Country 107.9 WYYD“, the station has dropped most pre-2000’s songs from its library. The station adds the syndicated Bobby Bones Show for mornings. That move shifts Kenny Shelton from mornings to afternoons.
WYYD registered a 5.7 share in the Spring 2013 ratings, which placed it behind Mel Wheeler’s market leading “94.9 Star Country” WSLC-FM’s 11.8.
