The two divestiture trusts formed from the 2010 merger of Simmons Media and Millcreek Broadcasting will be combined.
The SLC Divestiture Trust I run by Larry Patrick will be transferred to Jim Burgoyne, the trustee of SLC Divestiture Trust II. The Patrick run stations are CHR 103.9 KUDE Nephi (Simulcasts Simmons’ 107.9 KUDD), Country 105.1 KAUU Manti (Simulcasts Simmons’ 101.5 KEGA), and Country 105.3 KDWY Diamondville, WY. Burgoyne’s trust runs Soft AC 95.9 KMGR Delta/102.7 K274AV Rural Juab County and Country 106.9 KEGH Brigham City.
Since forming the SLC Divestiture Trust I has spun-off Sports 1280 KZNS and 97.5 KZNS-FM to Larry H. Miller Communications for $3.25 Million, 103.1 KJQN to Capital Broadcasting for $1.5 Million, and 104.7 KNIV to MAV Media for $3 Million.
The move comes amidst rumors that Simmons Media will soon restructure its ownership to include real estate investor Dell Loy Hansen, owner of Sports “ESPN 700” KALL.
