For the second time since the station’s launch in 2008, Bonneville Classic Rock “100.3 The Sound” KSWD Los Angeles is dedicating this weekend to reminisce and reunite many staffers from the long defunct 94.7 KMET.
Starting at 3:00pm with former morning hosts Jeff Gonzer and Ace Young and running through Sunday evening, many former staffers of KMET will return to the Los Angeles airwaves. The station is promoting appearances by Dr. Demento, Jack Snyder, Paraquat Kelley, Rick Lewis, Rick Scarry, Billy Juggs, Dr. Leon, Frazer Smith, Rauool, David Perry and Jim Ladd.
Among the programming highlights will be a roundtable hosted by Jim Ladd on Saturday at 5 featuring Gonzer, Young, Fox, Kelley and Snyder. Dr. Demento will host his show on Sunday at 6pm.
The station is already posting promotional clips on Soundcloud and the station’s website.
KMET flipped to a precursor of Smooth Jazz in 1987.
