Update 11/24: KCYT will launch its permanent format on Monday, November 25 at 5:00pm.
Original Report 11/22: Hog Radio is preparing to launch a new Country station in Fayetteville, AR.
96.7 KCYT Ozark has completed its move-in to Fayetteville and is currently testing with automated Hip-Hop. That will end on soon when the station flips to Country “96.7 The Coyote“.
The station has hired Darren Wilhite and Tim Wall for mornings. The duo once hosted mornings in the market at “Kix 104” KKIX as well as WDAF-FM Kansas City, WTNR Grand Rapids, and WYCD Detroit. Wilhite is also currently hosting mornings at Wilks AAA “Alice 102” KCKC Kansas City.
The Coyote will become the third Country station in the market joining the aforementioned KKIX and Cumulus’ “Nash-FM 94.3” KAMO. KKIX led the market in the Spring 2013 ratings with a 14.9 share.
KCYT previously served the Fort Smith market with a mix of Classic Country and Sports programming.
