My crappy work computer is too slow to go back and check, but wasn’t there a translator app approved for 94.9 in Philly very recently? Or are they spaced enough apart to not be a major problem?
(I also remember at least an application put in for 94.9 for LPFM out in Upper Dublin Township, Montco, too.)
The 94.9 was for a site in Northeast Philly. If this one is serving Millbourne it will be in the West Philly/Upper Darby area, so there will be a decent distance between them.
The really interesting thing here is that the applicant is proposing to relay WPEB, which has a licensed power of 1 watt. How many translators have more power than their parent station?
Gotcha. Thanks for the info!
And I’m pretty sure this would be a rare case where the translator is more powerful than the parent!
