While many companies have given up on launching unique programming on HD subchannels, CBS Radio has launched two new subchannels this week.
104.3 WOMC-HD3 Detroit is now “The Blvd. Detroit” replacing Psychic Talk “The Sky“. The new format focuses on musicians from Detroit including current bands like Mayor Hawthorn, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., The Ready Set, Blue October, Mike Posner as well as Kid Rock, Eminem, Madonna, Jack White, Marvin Gaye, and new unsigned artists. The Blvd. can be streamed here.
Over in Las Vegas, 107.5 KXTE-HD2 is dropping 80’s hits “Rewind” for Electronic Dance Music as “Sin 107.5“. Featuring artists like Avicii, Calvin Harris, and Tiesto, the station will target the throngs of nightclub goers on the Strip as well as the annual Electric Daisy Carnival.
So WOMC dropped “Psychic Talk”? I wonder if the people running it saw that coming.
