The homecoming that looked so good on paper lasted just a tad over four months as Don Geronimo has exited CBS Sports “106.7 The Fan” WJFK Manassas VA/Washington DC.
The news was first reported this weekend by DCRTV.com and then confirmed on Twitter by Geronimo himself.

Geronimo has been vocal about the inconsistent nature of his scheduling. At first he was brought in to host 7-10pm on evenings that the station did not have any play-by-play, but ended up mainly on weekends due to pre-emptions. With Washington Nationals baseball season beginning shortly, the amount of available timeslots was going to shrink further..
He has teased in recent weeks about starting a subscription based podcast when his CBS contract expires on April 1.
