1420 KSTN had been running a Classic Country format, while 105.9 K290AG was rebroadcasting Family Radio’s Christian programming. Knox Inc. acquired the translator last year for $30,000 and has completed the move of the signal to the tower of KSTN with an increase from 100 to 250 watts.
Expectations are that the station will launch a Country format in competition with Cumulus’ “Kat Country 103” KATM Modesto. Former KATM PD Randy ‘Bubba’ Black joined KSTN as Operations Manager last year and was joined by Jerry ‘Bear’ Musson as Music/Promotions Director last month.
