Cox Media has agreed to purchase a pair of suburban Atlanta translators for $450,000.
Art Sutton’s Tugart Properties will sell 93.5 W228CA Oakwood and 97.7 W249CK Buford to Cox in the deal. Both translators are attempting to upgrade their signals.
W228CA currently holds a CP to relocate to Suwanee with 250 watts at 264.9 meters with an additional application for 250 watts at 414 meters. The translator will cover Atlanta’s northeastern suburbs including Buford, Gainesville, and Lawrenceville.
W249CK’s application will see it shift to 92.5 licensed to Duluth with 250 watts at 159 meters. From there it will serve towns such as Lawrenceville, Suwanee, and Snellville. Both translators are currently licensed to rebroadcasting Cox’ 106.1 WNGC Arcade.
