Station Sales

FCC Update Translator Construction Permit ApplicationsFlinn Broadcasting is acquiring 103.1 W276BH Byhalia, MS from Tim Martz’ Radio Power Inc. for $150,000. Concurrently, a modification application has been filed to relocate the translator to Memphis where it will rebroadcast Flinn’s “Sunny 1210” WMPS Bartlett with 55 watts at 42 meters (Coverage Map). W276BH has held a Construction Permit since September 2012 to relocate to Memphis with 250 watts at 313.8 meters that will be superseded by this application.

Digity Media is acquiring 103.3 K277CA Lincoln, NE from Calvary Chapel of Omaha for $250,000. Digity will rebroadcast News/Talk 1240 KFOR, which it is in the process of acquiring as part of its purchase of Three Eagles Communications. K277CA has concurrently applied to increase to 250 watts at 148 meters (Coverage Map).

Clear Channel has purchased 93.5 K228FH Montoya, TX from Mary Guthrie for $85,000. The CP is currently licensed with 4 watts at 81.9 meters (Coverage Map) and will rebroadcast 96.3 KHEY-HD2 El Paso.

Queen of Heaven Catholic Radio and Bible Christian Society are donating Catholic 1480 WQOH Irondale and the CP for 92.7 W224CK Vestavia Hills, AL respectively to Divine Word Communications. Divine Word will convert WQOH to non-commercial status and it will join its regional Catholic network serving the Birmingham market.

Union Broadcasting Company is selling Silent 92.7 KBYO-FM Farmerville/Monroe, LA to Media Ministries for $250,000. Media Ministries also owns Christian AC “88.7 The Cross” KBMQ Monroe.

Joy Christian Communications is acquiring 88.3 WIVL Jasper, GA from Penny Jackson’s Community Public Radio for $60,000. The currently silent station has until September 30 to return to the air and the sales agreement requests expedited processing by the FCC to allow Joy to rebuild the station.

Choice Radio Central has agreed to acquire 105.9 WKYB Burgin, KY from Vernon R. Baldwin for $500,000.

Anna Trapani has sold the CP for 107.1 W296CW Ocala, FL to Central Baptist Church of Ocala for $60,000. The buyers will utilize W296CW to rebroadcast their Christian 91.5 WTYG-FM Sparr.

Educational Media Foundation has sold 100.7 W264CL Lake City, TN to Stair Company for $5,000. W264CL currently holds a CP to relocate to 100.9 with 19 watts at 5.1 meters. Stair will utilize the translator to rebroadcast 1450 WLAF La Follette.

Eastern Airwaves purchases 105.9 W290CJ Liberty, NC from Triad Family Network for $75,000.

Max Nichols is selling four translators to Riverbend Communications for $70,000. 92.7 K224EL Pocatello, ID and 94.1 K231BY Lava Hot Springs, ID will both rebroadcast News/Talk 690 KBLI Blackfoot. 100.9 K265EW Pocatello will rebroadcast Rock “KBear 101” KCVI Blackfoot, while 105.9 K290CA West Yellowstone, MT will rebroadcast non-commerical 94.3 KBYI Rexburg.

Rural Oregon Wireless Television has donated 89.3 K207EY Enterprise, OR to Spokane Public Radio.

Buckaroo Broadcasting is acquiring 92.1 K221AG Winnemucca, NV from Humboldt County for $2,000 plus $10,000 in advertising.

Station Moves

Due to pending loss of their current site as their lease with the county will not be renewed, Salem’s 1360 WKAT North Miami seeks to relocate to the tower of 1450 WOCN. WKAT’s operating power will adjust from 5kW daytime and 1kW night to 9kW daytime and 400 watts night.

Translator Moves

San Antonion Radioworks proposes upgrading 103.7 K279AB San Antonio from 81 watts at 119 meters to 220 watts at 178 meters from the downtown Tower of the Americas (Coverage Map). K279AB will continue to rebroadcast Standards “Call 1310” KAHL San Antonio.

Dennis Jackson’s 103.1 W276BV Greenwich, CT applied to relocate to New Rochelle, NY with 85 watts at 136 meters rebroadcasting 1460 WVOX New Rochelle (Coverage Map).

Lloyd Lane’s 104.5 W283AU Eagle, NY seeks to relocate to Arcade, NY with a change in frequency to 104.9 where it would operate with 90 watts at 209 meters while continuing to rebroadcast Country 1140 WCJW Warsaw.

Europa Communication’s 105.7 W289AR Hornell, NY requests a shift to 95.1 with 30 watts at 88 meters (Coverage Map). W289AR will continue to rebroadcast Equinox Broadcasting’s 97.1 WZHD Canaseraga.

Montana Radio Company’s 104.3 K282AV Great Falls, MT holds a CP to relocate to 104.5 with 90 watts at 80.3 meters. Instead of building that out, K282AV has now applied to shift to 103.9 with 250 watts at 97 meters (Coverage Map). K282AV would rebroadcast 95.9 KVMO-HD3 Fort Benton.

GEOS Communications’ 99.7 W259AW Mainesburg, PA proposes a move to 99.9 in Troy where it will shift from 6.5 watts at 252.9 meters to 250 watts at 10 meters rebroadcasting 96.9 WZKN Ridgebury (Coverage Map).

John Jason Bennett’s 107.9 K300CK Mounds, OK seeks to shift to 107.7 in Kiefer, OK with 250 watts at -1 meter (Coverage Map) rebroadcasting 88.3 KIOP Prague.
