CodComm Soft AC “Koffee 98.7” WKFY East Harwich, MA has added an additional signal to expand its coverage on Cape Cod.
WKFY’s programming is now also heard on 100.5 W263CU Hyannis, following the translator’s move from Harwich Port and upgrade to 250 watts at 144 meters (Coverage Map). The translator is still owned by Nantucket Public Radio, but rebroadcasting CodComm’s 102.9 WPXC-HD3. The addition of W263CU gives WKFY additional coverage in the Mid-Cape communities of Barnstable and Hyannis.
Another CodComm property, Variety Hits “93.5 Frank-FM” WFRQ Harwich Port will also soon be enriched with additional coverage. Nantucket Public Radio’s 93.9 W230AW Centerville is now rebroadcasting WFRQ. It holds a Construction Permit to upgrade from 38 watts at 69.9 meters to 250 watts at 67 meters with a City Of License change to Hyannis (Coverage Map). Once built the translator will restore coverage Frank lost when 101.1 WHYA broke-off the simulcast last year and flipped to CHR “Y101“.
FM channel 264 is 100.7, so W264BA is on 100.7, not 100.5.
The call letters have yet to be updated in the FCC Database. However we have updated the post with what the new calls will be thanks to CodComm’s Steve McVie.
