Univision Spanish News/Talk “Radio Mambi 710” WAQI Miami has applied to relocate to the site of sister 1140 WQBA. The station will remain at 50kW directional during the day, but drop from 50kW to 6.3kW at night.
As its CP for 30kW at 50 meters was set to expire on August 3, Wisconsin Rapids Seventh Day Adventist Church has applied and been granted a modification for 200 watts at 14 meters in order to get 91.9 WRAO Wisconsin Rapids, WI on-air before the permit expires (Coverage Map). WRAO states that the engineering firm hired to build the station’s facility went out of business before completing the project. After getting the station licensed it plans to reapply for its higher powered facility.
Translator Moves
After being displaced off the air by the launch of 100.3 WLML-FM Lake Park, Reach Media’s W262AN Tamarac, FL is now seeking a shift to 91.7. Previously used to rebroadcast 610 WIOD Miami, the translator seeks a drop from 198 to 155 watts while remaining at 278 meters with 94.9 WMGE-HD3 as the new originating programming source (Coverage Map).
Sinclair Telecable’s 96.5 W243DJ Norfolk, VA proposes a shift to the tower of 100.5 WVHT with 120 watts at 131 meters (Coverage Map). The translator will continue to rebroadcast Alternative “96X” 96.1 WROX via 106.1 WUSH-HD2.
Educational Media Foundation is applying to modify two of its translators in the Toledo area. 92.9 W225AM Middleton Township seeks to move to Toledo with 55 watts at 129 meters (Coverage Map) rebroadcasting Christian Preaching 1520 WNWT Rossford. Concurrently, 104.1 W281AL Harbor View, OH will drop from 250 watts at 92.9 meters to 19 watts (Coverage Map).
EMF’s 104.1 K281BS Hiawatha/Cedar Rapids, IA applies to increase from 88 watts at 106.1 meters to 170 watts rebroadcasting sister 98.9 WLKU Rock Island (Coverage Map).
Bible Broadcasting Network’s 103.3 W277AM Biddeford, ME has withdrawn its CP to relocate to Portland with 19 watts and instead seeks to remain in Biddeford with 160 watts at 105 meters (Coverage Map). W277AM will rebroadcast Saga’s 93.1 WMGX-HD3.
Gary Moss seeks changes at a pair of his translators in Waco, TX. 104.5 K283CD Waco applies to upgrade from 250 watts at 89 meters to 250 watts at 103 meters (Coverage Map) rebroadcasting 104.9 KBHT Bellmead. 106.3 K292GP Waco seeks a boost from 98 watts at 82 meters to 250 watts at 103 meters with a shift to 106.1 (Coverage Map). It too will rebroadcast KBHT.
Edward Schober’s CP for 104.1 W281BN Hammonton, NJ proposes a move west where it will operate with 250 watts at 80 meters rebroadcasting Multicultural Broadcasting’s Brokered 1680 WTTM Lindenwold (Coverage Map).
Christian Radio Fellowship applies to increase 98.3 W252BN Tallahassee, FL from 10 watts at 198.8 meters to 250 watts at 182 meters rebroadcasting Cumulus Gospel “Heaven 1410” WHBT (Coverage Map).
Family Life Ministries seeks modifications for three of its Pennsylvania translators. 92.9 W225AQ Lock Haven proposes an increase from 10 watts at 218.1 meters to 250 watts at 221 meters (Coverage Map). 98.9 W255BL Bloomsburg seeks an increase from 10 watts at 323.4 meters to 240 watts at 222 meters (Coverage Map). 103.3 W277BJ Garden View/Williamsport proposes a move to 103.1 with a boost from 10 watts at 406 meters to 250 watts (Coverage Map). Grundy Country Broadcasters is transferring its its 50% share of GS Radio’s Silent 1550 WZRK Lake Geneva, WI to co-owner Sovereign City Radio Services dissolving their partnership. The original partnership was created to move WZRK to the Chicago suburb of Northbrook, IL by turning in the license of Grundy County Broadcasters’ 1550 WCSJ Morris. That move expired unbuilt.
My Bridge Radio has sold 95.7 K239BE Sidney, NE to KSID Radio Incorporated for $10,000. The translator will be used to rebroadcast Farm/Country 1340 KSID Sidney.
Dennis Silver sells 98.1 K251BC Kayenta, AZ to KBDX LLC for $2,500. K251BC will rebroadcast Classic Hits “Red Rock 92” 92.7 KBDX Blanding, UT.
Radio Dalhart sold Regional Mexican “La Poderosa 96.1” KBEX Dalhart, TX to Viva Media for $450,000. Viva has been operating the station via LMA since July 2013.
Mountainplex Media has acquired Sports “102.3 The Ticket” WMTD-FM Hinton, WV from Southern Communications Corporation for $500,000. Mountainplex began operating the station via a Time Brokerage Agreement on June 1.
Don Tlapek has sold the CP for a new FM on 107.5 in Olathe, CO to Montrose Christian Broadcasting Corporation for $50,000.
