Calvary Chapel of Omaha has sold the CP for 94.9 K235CD Omaha to Clear Channel for $225,000. Clear Channel intends to rebroadcast an HD subchannel of 96.1 KISO on the translator.
American General Media acquires 106.9 K295AZ Buttonwillow, CA from First Ventures Capital Partners for $40,000. The translator holds a CP to relocate to the tower of AGM’s News/Talk 1180 KERN Wasco-Greenacres and will rebroadcast that station, bringing it to FM in Bakersfield.
The University of Central Oklahoma is purchasing 95.9 KZCU Woodward, OK from Cameron University for $50,000. Upon consummation of the sale, KZCU will flip from a simulcast of Public 89.3 KCCU Lawton to Classical 90.1 KUCO Edmond/Oklahoma City.
Big Chief Broadcasting Company of Bristow is selling “Country 104.9” KREK Bristow, OK to Jimmy Swaggart’s Family Worship Center Church for $250,000. FWCC owns 29 stations across the country and will convert the station to non-commercial status.
Sovreign City Radio sells 1550 WZRK Lake Geneva, IL to Joel Kinlow’s WGLB, Inc for $100,000. WGLB owns Gospel 1560 WGLB Elm Grove/Milwaukee.
1370 WWCB Corry, PA goes from Corry Communications Corporation to Greater Corry Area Broadcasting for $60,000.
Robert and Katherine Bohn sell their three stations to Craig and Patricia Lutz’ Alta Sierra Broadcasting. “News Talk 1140” KLVI Lake Isabella, “Kern River Country” 102.5 KCNQ Kernville, and Classic Rock “104.5 The River” KRVQ-FM Lake Isabella, CA for $300,000. The buyers have been operating the stations via Time Brokerage Agreement since November 2010.
Genesis Technology Communication acquires Silent 95.5 KBEK Mora, MN from Colleen McKinney for $200,000.
Mark Snow sells the CP for 105.1 WRFS Rockford, AL to Marble City Media for $75,000. Marble City owns Classic Hits “Yea! 106.5” 1290 WYEA/106.5 W293CQ Sylacauga.
Way Media sells 92.1 W221CV Tunnel Hills, 92.9 W225BX Victoria, 95.3 W237EI Brentwood, and 98.1 W251BT Pritchardsville, KY to Commonwealth Broadcasting Corporation for $90,000. W221CV will rebroadcast 101.5 WTHX Vine Grove, W225BX and W237EI will rebroadcast 1310 WTTL Madisonville, and W251BT will rebroadcast 1230 WCDS Glasgow.
Locally Owned Radio acquires the CP for 105.1 K286CH Twin Falls, ID from Community Translator Network for $32,500. Concurrently an application has been filed to relocate the translator to the tower of “Comedy 1270” KXQZ Twin Falls, which will be the originating station for the translator with 250 watts at 65 meters (Coverage Map).
Anverse, Inc. will acquire 100.3 W262CD Rome, GA from Michael McDougald for $25,000. Anverse has concurrently applied to relocate W262CD to Cartersville where it will operate with 100 watts at 48 meters rebroadcasting 1450 WBHF Cartersville (Coverage Map).
Edgewater Broadcasting sells 104.3 K282AS Las Cruces, NM to Adams Radio for $30,000. Adams has applied to shift K282AS to 104.5 with 85 watts at 152 meters rebroadcasting an HD subchannel of 103.1 KHQT (Coverage Map).
Station Moves
In a rare displacement move, Pueblo Broadcasting Group is seeking to relocate Rhythmic CHR “Power 103.3” KJQY Colorado City/Pueblo, CO is seeking to move to 103.1 with no changes to their 100kw at 165 meter signal due to interference from an unspecified Way Media translator. Pueblo claims the Way Media refuses remediate listener complaints despite the FCC already approving a new frequency and more power for the translator.
After winning the right to move to 1700 in Ramapo, NY during the last AM Auction, 1300 WRCR Spring Valley, NY has applied for its new facilities of 10kW daytime and 1kW nighttime from the middle of the station’s three current towers (Although Northeast Radio Watch notes that one of those towers no longer exists).
Alive Radio Network Christian Preaching 97.5 WHAZ-FM Hoosick Falls, NY applies to adjust from from 420 watts at 361 meters to 910 watts at 257 meters moving the station slightly closer to Albany (Coverage Map)
Christian Ministries Inc.’s 89.9 WCMD-FM Barre, VT seeks to increase power from 940 watts to 1.5kW while remaining at 180 meters (Coverage Map).
KOFI Inc.’s Country “94.3 The Lake” KOLK Lakeside/Kalispell, MT applies to increase from 5.18kW at 159.6 meters to 7.1kW (Coverage Map).
Educational Media Foundation’s 100.7 KLKF Malin/Klamath Falls, OR proposes an increase from a Class C3 with 420 watts at 675 meters to a C2 with 1.7kW (Coverage Map).

In the western suburbs of Washington, DC, Hubbard Broadcasting’s 104.3 W282BA Leesburg, VA applies to relocate east to Sterling with 160 watts at 32 meters rebroadcasting 107.7 WWWT-FM Manassas, which in turn simulcasts News 103.5 WTOP Washington (Coverage Map).
Way Media’s 107.9 K300CP Hilltop, CO applies to relocate to Denver with 250 watts at 118 meters covering the southeast side of the city, while rebroadcasting a subchannel of Clear Channel’s 103.5 WRFX (Coverage Map).
Frank McCoy’s 97.3 K247CB Lockhart, TX continues its slow move towards Austin with an application to relocate to Mustang Ridge with 160 watts at 51 meters rebroadcasting 97.7 KZAR McQueeny (Coverage Map).
Dennis Jackson’s CP for 103.7 W279CI Georgetown, CT applies to increase to 250 watts at 64 meters rebroadcasting 91.1 WSHU-FM Fairfield (Coverage Map).

GEOS Communications holds a CP to relocate 104.5 W283BJ Mountain Top, PA to Hazleton on 105.1. It now has applied to move from 105.1 to 94.5 with 130 watts at 154 meters rebroadcasting 1490 WAZL Hazleton (Coverage Map).
Edward Schober’s CP for 104.1 W281BN Hammonton, NJ seeks to move westward to the Philadelphia suburbs where it will operate with 250 watts at 80 meters rebroadcasting Multicultural Broadcasting’s 1680 WTTM Lindenwold (Coverage Map).
