Cox Media Group is shuffling the lineup at Hot Talk “102.5 The Bone” WHPT Sarasota/Tampa as Bubba The Love Sponge exits the station’s lineup.
Starting Tuesday, September 2, Mike Calta’s show will move from afternoons to 6-10am. Billy Madison remains in the 10am to 12pm slot now followed by Shannon Burke from 12-3pm. Burke had joined WHPT earlier this month in the night slot as well as Star Over Orlando’s 810/93.1 WRSO Orlando. The Drew Garabo show moves from 12-3 to 3-7pm, with The Bone Daily Rewind following from 7-10pm and Loveline in late nights.
Cox states that their facilities will continue to house Bubba The Love Sponge’s syndicated program through the end of 2014. The Bubba the Love Sponge Show will continue to be aired on KRZQ Reno, NV, WTRS Ocala FL, WRXK Ft. Myers FL, WZLB Ft. Walton Beach FL, WYBB Charleston SC, WRSO Orlando FL and RadioIO.com.
Cox Media Group (CMG) Tampa is redesigning its daily program lineup on 102.5 The Bone (WHPT) beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2.
The lineup will include:
Morning drive (6 a.m. – 10 a.m.) – The Mike Calta Show
10 a.m. – noon – The Billy Madison Show
Noon – 3 p.m. – The Shannon Burke Show
3 p.m. – 7 p.m. – In Your Face with Drew Garabo
7 p.m. – 10 p.m. – The Bone Daily Rewind Show“CMG periodically changes direction, talent and format of its various media programs in order to provide our audiences with fresh perspectives and compelling content,” said Keith Lawless, CMG Tampa’s VP and Market Manager. “The Bone has proven to be one of America’s most outspoken radio stations. Tampa Bay can expect The Bone to continue to deliver ‘Real, Raw, Radio’ every day.”
The Bone will discontinue airing the Bubba the Love Sponge Show effective immediately. “We appreciate everything the Bubba the Love Sponge Show has done for us over the past six years,” Lawless added. “We now are taking the station in a different direction.”
CMG Tampa will continue to be the technical head end to the Bubba Radio Network through the end 2014. The Bubba the Love Sponge Show will continue to be aired on KRZQ – Reno, NV, WTRS – Ocala FL, WRXK – Ft. Myers FL, WZLB – Ft. Walton Beach FL, WYBB – Charleston SC, and WRSO – Orlando FL.
