Translator Sales
Steve Hegwood’s Core Communicators is converting its lease of 94.5 W233BF Atlanta into a purchase. Edgewater Broadcasting will receive $53,000 for the translator, which currently operates as Urban “Streetz 94.5” via a rebroadcast of 94.1 WSTR-HD3. Hegwood had previously applied to purchase the translator in 2010 for $60,000, but that deal never closed.
Curtis Media’s Eastern Airwaves adds yet another Raleigh area translator with the acquisition of the CP for 93.3 W227CU Cary from Juan Alberto Ayala for $150,000. Curtis will utilize the translator to rebroadcast an HD subchannel of their 94.7 WQDR Raleigh pending an additional modification to the CP.
Patricia J. Young is selling three St. George, UT area translators to Canyon Media Group in separate deals. 93.1 K226BQ St. George, 96.3 K242BV St. George, and 101.5 K268BT Shivwits will bring Young $144,000. K226BQ will continue to rebroadcast “Fox News 1450” KZNU St. George, while the other two will rebroadcast 101.5 KCLS Leeds. 101.5 K268BT has also applied to modify its facilities to operate with 250 watts at 1038 meters with a displacement move to 104.1 (Coverage Map).
Antonio Delgado applies to transfer 93.7 K229CO Hillsboro and 107.3 K297BL Corsicana, TX to Cesar Guel’s Hispanic Family Christian Network for no consideration.
Blue Sky Broadcasting acquires 103.3 K277CQ Sandpoint, ID from ALC Communications for $5,000. K277CQ will rebroadcast Blue Sky’s AAA 95.3 KPND Sandpoint/Spokane, WA.
Central Wyoming College transfers 91.9 K220CM Lyman, WY to Intermountain Public Radio for $1. The translator rebroadcasts Intermountain’s 88.9 KRBR La Barge.
Station Sales
After a failed sale to Titan Radio, a bankruptcy judge has assigned Pembrook Pines Media’s Sports 1380 WABH and AC “V98.3” WVIN-FM Bath, NY to receiver Richard Foreman. Foreman already is overseeing the sales of the remainder of the former Pembrook Pines stations.
Intelli, LLC is converting its LMA of Vietnamese 1290 KAZA Gilroy, CA from Radio Fiesta Corporation into a purchase for $1 million.
Taos Adventures is acquiring Classic Hits 93.5 KNCE Taos, NM from GTRG&J Real Estate for $115,000 and will begin operating the station via LMA by Monday, October 20.
Blizzard Broadcasting II purchases Soft AC “Easy 94.1” KEZZ Phippsburg/Steamboat Springs, CO from Youngers Colorado Broadcasting for $100,000. The station, which has been operated by the buyer via TBA since 2012, joins a cluster including Sports 98.9 KTYV Steamboat Springs and pending acquisitions “Big Country” 1230 KBCR/96.9 KBCR-FM Steamboat Springs.
Texkan Communications purchases 107.1 KRXB Beeville, TX from Shaffer Communications Group for $40,000.
Northeast of Dallas, Racy Properties is purchasing Full Service Oldies 1230 KSST Sulpher Springs, TX from Hopkins County Broadcasting for $85,000. Racy Properties began operating KSST via Time Brokerage Agreement in July.
