The launch gives iHeart a third black targeted format on a Birmingham translator joining Urban “104.1 The Beat” W281AB and Gospel “Hallelujah 105.1” W286BK and gives direct format competition to Summit Media’s market leading “98.7 Kiss-FM” WBHK.

Hmmm..interesting move by Iheartmedia, Cumulus has been ramping up the roll out of the Nash Brand nationwide and now adding Nash Icon classic country stations in select markets.
Alabama has been lukewarm to the classic country brand, look at the numbers for 103.9 the possum in Montgomery, Al..
