Saga Communications is selling their Michigan and Minnesota based regional networks to Learfield Communications.
The Lansing, MI based Michigan Radio Network and Michigan Farm Radio Network and Minneapolis based Minnesota News Network and Minnesota Farm Network will join Learfield’s existing state network operations in Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, South Carolina, and Wisconsin. Not included in the sale is Saga’s Illinois Radio Network, the only state of the three where the company has a station ownership presence with clusters in Champaign and Springfield.
Terms of the deal are being kept confidential, however Learfield has immediately taken control of their new properties.
